Polycarbonate sheet

Smartrade Ltd/Magellanimports supplies imported DIY-grade polycarbonate sheeting. The protective film or printed information on each sheet is provided by the manufacturer and declares its country of origin.

Limited Warranty – One Year (Return to Base)

This product comes with a limited one-year return-to-base warranty, effective from the date of purchase.

Warranty Coverage

This warranty covers manufacturing defects and faults in materials under normal DIY usage.

Important Installation Notice

The polycarbonate sheeting is UV-protected on one side only.
To ensure maximum durability and UV protection, the side with the printed logo must face the sun when installed.

Warranty Exclusions

The warranty does not cover:

Damage caused by improper installation, including failure to follow the manufacturer’s instructions
Use of non-approved tools or materials
Damage due to accidents, misuse, abuse, or neglect
Impact, dropping, or exposure to extreme weather or environmental conditions (e.g., hail, high winds, chemical exposure)

Due to New Zealand’s unique climate conditions, manufacturer-stated warranties may not fully apply. Smartrade Ltd offers this localized limited warranty as applicable under NZ conditions.

Returns & Claims

Products must be returned to Smartrade Ltd/Magellanimports for assessment.
If a valid defect is found, Smartrade Ltd may choose to repair, replace, or refund the item at its discretion.

Your Consumer Rights

This warranty is offered in addition to your rights under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, which ensures goods must be of acceptable quality, fit for purpose, and as described.

Untreated Plywood – Sales & Usage Terms

Product Description
This product is imported untreated plywood, suitable for indoor use, DIY projects, and temporary non-structural applications. It has not been chemically treated for moisture or pest resistance.

Climate Suitability Notice
Due to significant differences in temperature and humidity between China and New Zealand, this plywood may experience minor warping, expansion, or thickness variation during transport and storage.

These are natural characteristics of timber products and do not constitute product defects.

Customers are advised to allow the plywood to acclimate for at least 48 hours in the intended environment before use. When installing, allow for appropriate expansion gaps.

Warranty Terms

This is a natural wood product. No returns or exchanges will be accepted for natural grain variation, minor dimensional changes, or slight warping.
Not recommended for prolonged outdoor exposure or use in high-humidity environments such as bathrooms or wet areas.
Smartrade is not liable for damage caused by misuse, improper storage, or post-sale alterations.

Storage Recommendations

Do not store directly on concrete or damp surfaces.

Store flat in a dry, well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight and moisture.

Use evenly spaced supports (at least every 300mm) under the sheets to prevent bowing or sagging.

Excavator Electrical Products / Digger undercarriage

Product Description

Our aftermarket excavator electrical products are sold as stated, based on the model and measurements declared by the manufacturer.

Warranty Coverage

We offer a three-month limited warranty for excavator electrical products, subject to the following terms and conditions:

The product must be used under normal operating conditions, free from damage caused by human error, improper use, or external factors.

1.A valid proof of purchase (invoice or order receipt) must be provided to verify the purchase date.

Any unauthorized repairs, modifications, or disassembly will void the warranty.

2.Installation must be carried out by a certified mechanic to ensure proper function and compliance with safety standards.

3.A detailed installation record and fault report issued by a certified mechanic must be provided in case of a warranty claim.

4.Additional supporting documentation may be required, including but not limited to the machine nameplate and photos of the repaired or defective parts.

Exclusions & Limitations

This warranty does not cover:

1.Normal wear and tear, corrosion, or deterioration due to environmental conditions.

2.Damage resulting from accidents, misuse, negligence, or improper storage.

3.Failures caused by external factors such as voltage fluctuations, power surges, or incompatible components.

Galvanized Corrugated Iron Sheet – Warranty & Maintenance Terms (NZ Specific)

Product Type: Imported galvanized corrugated iron sheet – DIY grade
Recommended Use: Fencing, non-structural cladding, or similar general outdoor use
Not Suitable For: Roofing or structural use.

Coastal Use Restriction
This product is not suitable for coastal environments (within 1 km of the sea or saltwater bodies). Exposure to salt-laden air may result in accelerated corrosion. Warranty is void if used in such areas.

Warranty Terms:

1-Year Return to Base Warranty: Covers manufacturing defects only.
Warranty excludes corrosion, rust, colour fading, or any damage resulting from:
- Installation in unsuitable environments (e.g., coastal areas)
- Improper installation
- Physical damage, scratches, or exposure to chemicals
- Lack of proper maintenance

Maintenance Guidelines:
To ensure the longevity of the product, regular maintenance is essential:

Every 6 months: Thoroughly rinse with clean, fresh water to remove dust, dirt, and pollutants.
Every 3 months in high-risk zones (e.g. near industrial areas, high humidity): Increase washing frequency.
Ensure drainage and ventilation around the sheet to avoid water pooling or trapping.
Inspect for scratches or surface damage and treat promptly with suitable zinc-rich paint or sealant.

Installation Notes:

Use corrosion-resistant fasteners.
Do not allow dissimilar metals (e.g., copper, lead) to come in contact.
Avoid installation in direct contact with concrete or soil.

Proof of Purchase Required for Claims
Warranty applies to the original purchaser only and is non-transferable.

LED Products – Warranty & Compensation Policy (New Zealand Market)

Coverage
All LED lighting products sold by Smartrade Ltd are covered under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, which ensures that products are of acceptable quality, fit for purpose, and match their description.

Unless otherwise stated, our standard warranty for LED products is:

Residential Use: 2 years
Commercial/Industrial Use: 1 year

This warranty applies from the date of purchase and covers manufacturing defects, including premature failure of the LED chip or driver.

Warranty Exclusions
The following conditions are not covered by the warranty:

Damage caused by incorrect installation, misuse, or abuse
Use in environments beyond the rated temperature or humidity range
Damage due to power surges, electrical faults, or lightning strikes
Normal wear and tear or gradual lumen depreciation over time
Unauthorized modification or disassembly of the product
Use with incompatible dimmers or power supplies

Compensation & Remedy
If a product is found to be defective within the warranty period:

Smartrade may choose to repair, replace, or refund the product at its discretion.
Replacements may be of the same model or a functionally equivalent model if the original is no longer available.
In case of bulk/commercial orders, replacements may be batch-processed.

Note: Warranty remedies are limited to the value of the original product. Labour costs, indirect losses, or consequential damages are generally not covered unless required by law.

Proof of Purchase Required
All claims must be accompanied by valid proof of purchase (invoice or receipt). Smartrade Ltd reserves the right to assess and verify product failure before issuing compensation.
